Childrens Books About Real Life

When I grew up, all I wanted to be was a mommy. Then, I wanted to be a teacher, or teacher-mommy. Then, in the ever-dreaded middle school years, I wanted to be a WRITER. I spent hours and hours alone in my room writing. I have the calluses (thirty some odd years later, ahem) to prove it.

Now, three children later and a set of twins later with one more on the way, you can find me most often slogging through a homeschool day with my littlest girlies or in the corner coffee shop, supporting other writers with their book launches.

But in my dreams, I’m always, always writing or illustrating some heart-story about real life issues that may or may not actually work on paper.

Because I can’t help myself.
